Joe’s interest, experience and education are a perfect blend for the work he and the team at Empower provide for their clients. Joe’s interest in computer programming was first piqued during his high school years and was further developed while he was a student at Lock Haven University. There he earned a B.S. in Accounting and minored in Computer Science. Upon graduation, Joe joined the CPA firm Young Oakes Brown and Company, the largest firm between Harrisburg and Pittsburgh. Through the years, he has been witness and catalyst to the ever-increasing application of computer technology to business operations. He brings a solid financial background to projects and can relate to the challenges and objectives of Empower’s clients. His experience in the world of finance and deep interest in software technologies makes him able to detect opportunities and devise solutions that are of real value. Clients say he is a fountain of practical knowledge. Joe relishes the evolving nature of the industry and takes pride in advising clients on the latest solutions that can help them bring their businesses to fullest potential. Jim’s experience is rooted in a very hands-on, direct application of customer service. For AT&T he provided voice and data communications to clients like TV Guide, HUD, and the Ford Motor Company. He was a field engineer for Gammaflux, a leading supplier of hot runner controls to the plastics injection molding industry. During his 24 year military career, he performed electronics repair and later managed 12 maintenance shops providing service and support. He spent 17 years with Motorola, again in the direct customer support area, performing on-site installation and repair service for a five-county area. During the same time period, he earned his degree in Electronics Engineering. With Empower, Jim’s technical skills have evolved and been influential in shaping the company. The early days were filled with computer and other hardware repair. This was followed by the addition of networking services, when Jim and the staff began installing cabling and configuring servers and workstations. Industry trends soon propelled the company into the software arena, where Jim’s strengths have allowed him to effectively tailor solutions to satisfy the individual needs of Empower’s clients. In recent years, Jim has moved into the Business Intelligence (BI) area and has created numerous Data Warehouses to allow Empowers customers to analyze and improve their business processes. Jim’s successes are a direct result of his career-long desire to apply his skills and knowledge to solve customer problems. It is where he gets his greatest satisfaction, and it is what makes him an example of the Empower work ethic and approach to customer service.

Lee is a Microsoft Certified Professional who has been working as an application developer for over 9 years. He started out as a Computer and Automated Systems Repairer in the United States Army. From there he moved to Accuweather, Inc. as a Computer Applications Analyst / Programmer. Finally, Lee began working for Sound Computer Services, which is now known as Empower Business Solutions, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner dealing in Microsoft Dynamics GP as well as custom software solutions. Lee has extensive experience in developing and modifying software on the Microsoft platform. Some of his skills include:
